Bandwidth’s Route Intelligence Platform features a web-based UI
Bandwidth has launched its cloud-based Route Intelligence Platform to allow voice service providers “to easily route calls with new levels of sophistication, customization and cost savings.”
The Raleigh, North Carolina-based communications technology company said its Route Intelligence Platform blends vendor rate deck management with cost-effective routing intelligence, making it easier for voice service providers to save both time and money.
In addition, the platform features a web-based user interface (UI), Bandwidth said, to help simplify the call routing process.
“The call routing process embodies a time-consuming and technical telecommunications process that’s complex and challenging for many companies to manage on their own,” Steve Leonard, Bandwidth’s executive vice president and general manager, said in a prepared statement. “We developed this solution to inject cloud software into call routing, making a complicated process easier and more accessible.”
This platform also provides customers with the ability to manage call routing quality simply and easily, according to the company.
Bandwidth noted that if a vendor is having problems terminating to a particular NPA/NXX, users can take this vendor out of route for that specific NPA/NXX. And if a term vendor is down completely, users can remove this vendor from route with a single keystroke.
Nick Sgroi, Bandwidth’s vice president of carrier strategy and voice termination, told Talkin’ Cloud that his company has “taken a powerful nationwide Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network and built software around it, making it much easier to access.”
Bandwidth currently serves over 34 million end points and users, and Sgroi pointed out that his company is focused on “grinding telecom into software” to deliver cloud services that promote more accessible voice and messaging.
